Hiresome & Gmail Integration Guide

This guide will walk you through the process of integrating your Gmail account with Hiresome using an App Password. An App Password is a secure way to connect third-party apps to your Gmail account without using your actual password.

Why do I need an App Password?
Google requires an App Password for external applications (like Hiresome) to access your email securely while keeping your primary password safe.

Step 1: Navigate to Hiresome Integrations

1. Log in to Hiresome with your account credentials.
2. Click on Settings (Top-Left of your dashboard).
3. Select Integrations from the settings menu.

Step 2: Enable Gmail Integration

1. Locate the Gmail Integration section.
2. Click the Enable button or toggle the switch to turn it on.

Step 3: Enter Your Gmail Address

1. In the Gmail Integration section, you will be prompted to enter your Gmail email address.
2. Type in the Gmail account you want to use for sending and receiving emails through Hiresome.

Step 4: Generate an App Password from Google

Google requires an App Password to connect your Gmail with external apps like Hiresome. Follow these steps to generate one:

1. Open this link in your browser:
   👉 Google App Passwords
2. Sign in to your Google account if prompted.
3. Under “Select app”, choose Mail.
4. Under “Select device”, choose Other (Custom name).
5. Enter a name like Hiresome Email Integration and click Generate.

Step 5: Copy and Use the Generated Password

1. Google will generate a 16-character password (e.g., abcd efgh ijkl mnop).
2. Copy this password immediately – it will only be shown once!
3. Go back to Hiresome > Settings > Integrations > Gmail.
4. Paste the App Password into the required field.
5. Click Save or Connect to complete the integration.

Your Gmail account is now successfully connected to Hiresome! You can start sending and receiving emails through Hiresome using your Gmail account.

Troubleshooting Tips

🔹 Don’t see the App Passwords option?

• Make sure 2-Step Verification is enabled on your Google account. You can enable it here: Google 2-Step Verification.

🔹 Entered the password but it’s not working?

• Double-check that you copied and pasted the entire 16-character App Password without spaces.
• Try generating a new App Password and entering it again.
