Create a Salary Bracket

Requires 'Manage System Settings' permission

Create a New Job Post

  1. Navigate to Settings > Offer > Salary Bracket from the left side navigation bar.
  2. Click the Create New+ Button on the top-right. drawing

Understand the salary bracket form and components

  1. A salary bracket has a title, currency and components of types Fixed, Formula, Text Note & Header A. Fixed: These fields are fixed values that require manual inputs. B. Formula: These fields can derive their value from other fields using arithmetic calculations. C. Text Note: Text entered under this field is visible at the bottom of the final salary structure. D. Header: Text entered under this field is visible at the top of the final salary structure.

  2. Click the Add new component + button to create a new component. drawing

  3. You can manage a component’s visibility manually by checking the Visible on pay breakup option at the top left of a component. drawing

  4. You can manage a component’s order by click the up and down arrow icons at the top right. drawing

  5. You can clone a component by clicking the duplicate icon at the top right.

  6. You can remove a component by clicking the cross icon at the top right.

Creating a fixed component

  1. Enter a suitable Title. drawing
  2. Select an appropriate Currency e.g. INR, USD etc. drawing
  3. Type the Label value of the Component e.g. ‘Cost to Company’. drawing
  4. Select ‘Fixed’ Type for this component. drawing
  5. Select Default Disbursement e.g. Annual, Monthly. drawing
  6. Enter value for this component inside the Value input drawing
  7. You can add more disbursements for the same component by clicking the Disbursement + button. drawing

Creating a formula based component

  1. Type the Label value of the Component e.g. ‘Base’.
  2. Select the ‘Formula’ Type for this component.
  3. Select Default Disbursement e.g. Annual, Monthly.
  4. As you type the Value for formula based component, other components start to appear, select accordingly and use arithmetic operations to compute the component value. drawing

Note: It is important that the components that are part of the formula for a particular component are ordered above that component. E.g. if Component C has formula A+B, then Component A and Component B must be above Component C.

Creating a text note component

  1. Select the ‘Text Note’ Type for this component.
  2. Enter note value under Note.
